The Minimoog is part of synthesizer history, and very little needs to be said on it's impact on both electronic & rock music over the years. It is sometimes the 'yardstick' by which the sound of a synth is measured. Given the continued popularity of this great synth, we have decided to produce a range of fully built and tested circuit boards, as spares (or for custom projects). See them in our SHOP.
PLEASE NOTE that most boards are made to order, so you have to allow 5 days for the build & testing (about 10 days for a complete set) and then the postage time on that.
Much can be said about the constant search for the perfect clone of the Minimoog sound, but these PCB's are a direct copy of the original.
We have not sought to re-imagine or make the designs more efficient. The intention here was to make a drop-in replacement using
largely NOS (new old stock) components.
Some of the stock components have been imported from the USA, and are indeed from the same timeframe (early 1970's). However, we do not consider the use of old stock Electrolytic capacitors to be a worthy endeavour. (since they can dry up, over time)
Another important consideration is the size of the resistors - mainly being 1/2 watt and 1 watt types.

Well yes, you could use the Minimoog boards as the basis of a modular synth, or a project/hobby synth of your own.
However, we don't supply schematics, those are freely available on the web, along with all of the required wiring diagrams. Actually, the original Minimoog service manual is the best and most complete ever produced (in our opinion).
